Global Anti-China Protests Set For Int’l Human Rights Day

Peaceful Protests are being scheduled around the world to mark International Human Rights Day, tomorrow, December 10th.

Large scale protests are currently earmarked for Washington DC, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Edmonton, Geneva, and The Hague in Europe, although smaller protests are expected to take place elsewhere.

In marking the day, The East Turkistan National Awakening Movement has now issued a global invite for all those interested in joining protests addressing China and the Chinese Communist Party’s atrocities against Uyghurs, in addition to the Tibetan, Hong Kong, Falun Gong, and Mongolian peoples.

United States

New York City: The East Turkistan Government in Exile, the East Turkistan National Awakening Movement, Tibetan Youth Congress, along with members of other communities will be holding a demonstration in front of the UN HQ. They will be urging the UN to recognize the Uyghur Genocide and to remove China from the UN Human Rights Council.

Washington DC: The East Turkistan Government in Exile and the East Turkistan National Awakening Movement will join members of the Tibetan, and other communities to protest China. They will call on the US to recognize the Uyghur Genocide, to label the CCP as a Transnational Criminal Organization, and pass the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act. They will urge people to boycott Made in China.

San Francisco: The local Uyghur diaspora community with the direction of the East Turkistan Government in Exile will join members of the Vietnamese, Filipino, and Tibetan communities to demonstrate in China Town. They will call on the US to recognize the Uyghur Genocide, to label the CCP as a Transnational Criminal Organization, and pass the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act. They will urge people to boycott Made in China.

Canada

Edmonton: The East Turkistan Government in Exile and the Alberta Uyghur Cultural Society will be holding a demonstration. They will be calling on the Canadian Government to recognize the Uyghur genocide and sanction, Chinese officials, for human rights atrocities under the Global Magnitsky Act.

Toronto: The East Turkistan Government in Exile and local Uyghur diaspora communities along with the Tibetan Youth Congress will be holding a demonstration. They will be protesting China and calling on the Canadian Government to recognize the Uyghur genocide and sanction, Chinese officials, for human rights atrocities under the Global Magnitsky Act.

Geneva: The East Turkistan Government in Exile, Justice for Uyghurs, and other communities will be holding a demonstration in front of the UN Office. They will be urging the UN to recognize the Uyghur Genocide and to remove China from the UN Human Rights Council.

The Hague: The East Turkistan Government in Exile and Netherlands East Turkistan/Uyghur Youth, Uyghur Women Group, and diaspora community will be holding a demonstration in front of the International Criminal Court(ICC). They will urging the ICC to investigate and prosecute Chinese officials for genocide and other crimes against humanity.
