France cancels talk with UK over migrants crossing the channel

Post the demise of 27 migrants in the English Channel on Wednesday, Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, has reacted with disgrace. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, has made a public call for France. His public call urges the country to take back its migrant from the UK.

In response to this call, the President of France has called out the PM on Twitter for not being “serious” enough about the migrants. He was not even serious after the incident of dreadful drowning in the English Channel.

The last nail was when France withdrew the invitation for Home Secretary Priti Patel for a summit. However, the UK government was then up for resolution, with the eruption of the diplomatic row. The PM also suggested that this problem needs the resolution planned in unity.

In the upcoming Sunday talk set up by Macron, the countries of Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Germany have decided to participate in coordination with the European Commission. The primary agenda will be to discuss the issue of the migrant surge in the crossings of the English Channel.

PM Johnson has set all five ways that can be helpful to curb such unfortunate incidents in the future. More optimized usage of technology through radars and sensors, high joint patrolling alerts, immediate work on policies for the return of migrants, maritime patrol in the waters, and very strong cooperation with intelligence service—all of these enlisted in five ways.

But Emmanuel Macron doesn’t stop lashing out. He lets out his fury, saying, “I spoke two days ago with Prime Minster Johnson in a serious way. For my part, I continue to do that, as I do with all countries and all leaders. I am surprised by methods when they are not serious. We do not communicate from one leader to another on these issues by tweets and letters that we make public. We are not whistle-blowers.”
