European leaders reinstating covid restrictions

Portugal and Germany are among countries declaring post-Christmas curbs and bigger social distancing regulations. The new variant is already a powerful strain in several European nations. Spain has noted an increased number of regular cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

France has declared that regular cases there could quickly pass 100,000. Health Minister of France, Olivier Véran, noted the rise in regular cases in the nation, presently at nearly 70,000.
