Drone strike killed ISKP in Afghanistan

US Military believes that it had killed an Islamic State group’s planner for the Afghan branch in a drone strike. The suspected member of that group has been the target in Nangarhar province. IS-K admitted that it carried out an attack at Kabul airport on Thursday. It has killed nearly 170 people, with 13 from US troops.

It had killed a mass that had been underway at the Kabul airport. In the past two weeks, the evacuation took place for more than 100000 people. The US has also set a deadline for its forces who are leaving Afghanistan. This deadline will expire on Tuesday.

Joe Biden promised to hunt down the Jihadists who are behind this attack. IS-K is also one of the most extreme and violent groups of jihadists in Afghanistan.  The US drone strike is the first reported one that took place in Afghanistan since the blast on Thursday.

Captain Bill Urban of Central Command said: “The unmanned airstrike occurred in the Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. Initial indications are that we killed the target. We know of no civilian casualties.”

He described it as a counterterrorism operation that is over-the-horizon. They launched the reaper drone from the Middle East. It struck the militant while he was in his car along with another member of IS. It killed both of them. Most of the IS -K extremists are hiding in the province in the east of Kabul.

The blast on Thursday tore the airport crowd. Dozens of Afghans are now trying to leave this country who got killed. Also, it has killed US personnel, two British nationals, and a child of a British National.

Mr. Biden warned that the US would not forgive this act. At least 5000 US troops are now stationed at Kabul airport. They are processing this evacuation process.

Taliban officials have taken control of the parts of the airport. But US forces are still in charge. Most of the NATO countries have ended their emergency evacuation process. France has stopped its evacuation on Friday. American officials have also issued a new warning to US citizens to stay away from the gates of the airport.
