Britney Spears ended 13 years-long legal agreement

Britney Spears has recently ended her 13 years of legal agreement. The agreement had control over many aspects of her life. The termination of this legal arrangement seems “the best day ever” to her.

She said, ” I think I’m gonna cry,” to her 35 million Instagram followers. A judge from Los Angeles on Friday has ended the conservatorship set up by the father of Britney with immediate effect.

Fans have come together outside the LA court to support Britney Spears. Her father earlier said that it was necessary for her. However, he has agreed that it is time for her to take re-control over her own life.

Lawyers who represented Britney said her life became shambled, and she was facing physical, mental, emotional, and financial distress.

The conservatorship had power over her career decisions, finances, and some of her major personal matters. On Friday, Brenda Penny, the Los Angeles County Superior Court judge, ruled in favor of the singer. The parties involved in it did not oppose.

As part of this ruling, Judge Penny said the accountant who worked as a temporary conservator must retain some powers to settle the financial issues. The lawyer of Spear, Mathew Rosengart, has praised the courage of the singer.

Friends of Britney were also jubilant after this decision. Paris Hilton wrote that the “moment is so long overdue”. She wished her for her best days.

On Monday, she wrote on her Instagram that she hadn’t “prayed for something more in my life”.

“I know I’ve said some things on my Instagram out of anger, and I’m sorry, but I’m only human… and I believe you’d feel the same way if you were me!”

During her court appearance in June, Spear asked her judge to end this abusive arrangement. While addressing the court, she said she had been drugged, forcefully performed against her will. Also, this arrangement prevented her from marrying or having children. A conservatorship comes into play for people who cannot make their own decisions. It was put in place due to concerns about her mental health.
