Bolivia cuts ties with Israel over its ‘disproportionate’ attack in Gaza

It is worth noting that while Israel has been backed by most of the top world countries such as the US, UK and others in its war against Gaza and the Hamas terrorists that attacked the country on October 7 earlier this month, it is now started to lose some allies as well because of the fact that countries are now starting to see the destruction that Israel is doing inside Gaza not only on Hamas terrorists but also on civilians who are bound to get killed in crossfire as they are shelling rockets in residential areas as well. We can also tell you that it is never a good situation when food, water and basic amenities are taken away from people due to no fault of their own.

One of the first countries to withdraw support for Israel and officially cut ties with them is Bolivia who has decided that they will no longer be able to keep silent on the issue and have taken side of Gaza in what it calls a “disproportionate” attack on Gaza. Bolivia’s deputy foreign minister says that Bolivia “decided to break diplomatic relations with the Israeli state in repudiation and condemnation of the aggressive and disproportionate Israeli military offensive taking place in the Gaza Strip,”. It is worth noting that while Bolivia’s cutting ties with Israel does not matter much for them, it is essentially becoming a war between two parts of the world.

One of the sides is Islamic countries that support Gaza and you can add Russia and China to this list while the others are from West such as US, UK and even India who have laid their full support for Israel. Now, it is known that Israel’s PM Netanyahu has been very vocal about how they will not stop this war until Hamas is completely destroyed. However, that will depend on how long the US is able to support Israel as they might be having pressure from its allies to stop the war and come to a ceasefire agreement as well. Bolivia’s neighbors, Colombia and Chile, have also recalled their ambassadors for discussions on future actions.
