Russia gets the warning from Biden against the harmful activities during the start of his first official trip

US President Joe Biden has launched the first official overseas trip. It comes with a warning to Russia. It faces the “robust and meaningful” consequences if it engages in any kind of harmful activities. Mr. Biden has made it clear. He intends to strengthen its relations under the Trump administration. President Biden arrived in the UK on Wednesday. He will meet PM Boris Johnson to agree to a new “Atlantic Charter.”

This pact will be a much modern version of the previous agreement between Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt in 1941. It is also having the focuses on the challenges, which include security and climate change.

During this eight-day of European visit, Mr. Biden will meet the Queen at Windsor Castle. Also, he will attend a G7 leader’s meeting. He will also join his first Nato summit as US President. At the end of this trip, Mr. Biden will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Geneva.

The White House is indicating that he is intending to cover a full range of pressing issues with his Russian counterpart. However, it includes arms control, Russian military involvement in Ukraine, and climate change. Also, it will include the cyber hacking activities of Russia and the jailing of Alexei Navalny.

The organizations linked with Mr. Navalny got outlawed in a Moscow court on Wednesday as the “extremist”. It is also addressing the US troops and their families at the RAF Mildenhall air base in Suffolk. He landed here before traveling to Cornwall. Mr. Biden said he would deliver a clear message to Mr. Putin.

Biden said, “We’re not seeking conflict with Russia,” he said. “We want a stable and predictable relationship … but I’ve been clear: The United States will respond in a robust and meaningful way if the Russian government engages in harmful activities.”

The Ties between Moscow and Washington are at a lower point over a variety of issues. In April, Mr. Putin also opted for accusing the Western powers of trying to pick on Russia. He has warned the US not to cross a red line.

The upcoming G7 also includes climate change and trade. Mr. Biden is expected to warn that the UK and EU trade row could endanger the peace in Northern Ireland. He will also call on fellow leaders to protect the gains of the Good Friday agreement.
