The team from Manchester will still need to get past a star-studded PSG side with Brazilian star Neymar and French international Kylian Mbappe leading the charge – neither of whom played particularly well in the 1st leg.
Possible opponents if they do will be Chelsea – London’s highest flying team so far in the Premiership.
Returning to England after a hard fought 1-1 draw away at Real Madrid, the west London team know they still have it all to do back home at Stamford Bridge on May 5th, even if they did manage an all important away goal in the Spanish capital.
As Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel said post game in trying to keep it real “Even if we had won here, everything is possible,” adding “It’s half-time and we’ll have to fight for every centimetre and every advantage that we want to have and we need to fight and deserve it.”
Unlike Manchester City, Chelsea have appeared in the final on two previous occasions, winning once – in 2012 – and having also appeared in the first ever all-English final in 2008, against Manchester City’s bitter rivals Manchester United.
