Abortion Law protest rises throughout the country

US appeals court has temporarily reinstated Texas’s ban on abortion due to the rise of abortion law protest. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal has agreed to a request from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. The injunction imposed on the law must lift.

On Wednesday, a lower court has temporarily blocked the bill from the offensive deprivation. The law hampers the constitutional right of abortion. This restrictive law bans all abortions at about 6 weeks of pregnancy.

It offers any individual the right to sue anyone who is having involvement with abortion after the foetal cardiac activity detection. It makes no exception for the pregnancy due to rape or incest.

On Wednesday the District Judge Robert Pitman granted a request from the Biden administration to prevent the enforcement of the law. This law is facing a challenge in its eligibility. He further added, “unlawfully prevented from exercising control over their lives in ways that Constitutions protect”.

In a statement from the latest ruling, Nancy Northup, the president of the Center for Reproductive Rights, called on the Supreme Court to stop this madness.

“Patients are being thrown back into a state of chaos and fear, and this cruel law is falling hardest on those who already face discriminatory obstacles in health care, especially Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, undocumented immigrants, young people, those struggling to make ends meet, and those in rural areas,” she said.

“The courts have an obligation to block laws that violate fundamental rights.”

The Texan attorney general also said that the decision of the court was great news. He would continue to keep up with the fight.

The dispute over this law could end up before the US supreme court has declined to hear an emergency case to pass this into law. Several Clinics in Texas have resumed offering abortion to patients beyond six weeks. They may now face some of the legal risks. However, it is unclear whether such a provision can be enforced or not. Some women have been traveling to other states where the procedure is legal. The abortion law protest is surging in various areas.
