New Delhi: SpiceJet, the country’s favourite airline and the largest regional player, has announced the launch of 30 new domestic flights including six new flights from Darbhanga in Bihar.
The new flights commenced in a phased manner from 20th December, 2020.

Enhancing connectivity from Darbhanga, SpiceJet will launch flights connecting the city with Ahmedabad, Pune and Hyderabad.

While the flights on Ahmedabad-Darbhanga-Ahmedabad will operate daily, flights on Pune-Darbhanga-Pune and Hyderabad-Darbhanga-Hyderabad will operate on all days except Saturdays.

SpiceJet had on November 8, 2020, launched daily direct flights connecting Darbhanga with Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru and is the first and only airline operating to the city.

Darbhanga is the airline’s 13th UDAN destination.

In its bid to enhance connectivity between the metros and key non-metro cities, the airline has also launched new flights on Hyderabad-Vishakhapatnam-Hyderabad, Chennai-Shirdi-Chennai, Kolkata-Goa-Kolkata, Ahmedabad-Gwalior-Ahmedabad and Kolkata-Port Blair-Kolkata routes.

SpiceJet will also augment its operations by adding second frequencies on the Hyderabad-Goa-Hyderabad, Bengaluru-Shirdi-Bengaluru, Chennai-Guwahati-Chennai, Mumbai-Goa-Mumbai, Ahmedabad-Goa-Ahmedabad and Mumbai-Kandla-Mumbai sectors besides Mumbai-Guwahati and Guwahati-Kolkata.

The airline will deploy a mix of its Boeing 737 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft on these routes.

SpiceJet Chief Commercial Officer Shilpa Bhatia said the company is delighted to further expand domestic operations and add 30 new flights on the network.

“After the successful launch of our Darbhanga flights, which have received a tremendous response, we have decided to further enhance connectivity to the city with new flights to Pune, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. As the country’s largest regional operator, providing air connectivity to the smaller cities and towns has always been a top priority for SpiceJet and these new flights further reiterate our commitment towards enhancing regional connectivity,” she said.

She also said SpiceJet will keep adding more flights and frequencies to enhance domestic network and offer more possibilities of easy, safe and secure travel to favourite destinations during the pandemic.

Among the newly launched flights and frequencies, SpiceJet will operate daily flights between Hyderabad-Vishakhapatnam-Hyderabad, Hyderabad-Goa-Hyderabad, Mumbai-Goa-Mumbai, Ahmedabad-Goa-Ahmedabad sectors and Mumbai-Guwahati and Guwahati-Kolkata routes.

The airline will operate five flights a week between Kolkata-Goa-Kolkata, four flights a week between Bengaluru-Shirdi-Bengaluru and Chennai-Guwahati-Chennai, three flights a week between Mumbai-Kandla-Mumbai, Chennai-Shirdi-Chennai and Ahmedabad-Gwalior-Ahmedabad. Flights between Kolkata and Port Blair will be operational on Mondays and Wednesdays.

SpiceJet is celebrating the launch of new flights with all-inclusive one-way fares starting as low as INR 4190 on Ahmedabad-Darbhanga, Rs 4,139 on Darbhanga-Ahmedabad, Rs 6,014 on Pune-Darbhanga, Rs 5,609 on Darbhanga-Pune, Rs 4,194 on Hyderabad-Darbhanga and Rs 3,929 on Darbhanga-Hyderabad.
